CLASH OF THE TITANS
(NCAAF) Tigers (CLE) vs. Bulldogs (UGA),
Point Spread: -11.50 | -110.00 Bulldogs (UGA) (Home)
Result: Win
The Georgia Bulldogs will host the Clemson Tigers at noon on Saturday. It is a clash between two perennial playoff teams. Georgia is the #1 ranked team heading into the season while Clemson is ranked #14. Clemson finished 6th in the ACC with a 9-4 overall record, with a 4-4 conference recordThe did win five in a row to close out the season but were 2-3 on the road last season. Cade Klubnik will be under center. He threw for 2,844 yards, 19 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Phil Mafah rushed for 965 yards. Georgia led the SEC with an 8-0 conference record and a 13-1 record overall. Carson Beck is back under center. He threw for 4,000 yards with 24 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. Georgia has an outstanding defense, last season they ranked 10th in total yards against, 12th in passing yards against, and 29th in rushing yards against, #9 in points against with 16.6 per game. Georgia will be looking to make a statement this season after missing the playoffs last season. Clemson will not be able to match up offensively and Georgia will be able to wear down the Clemson defense and take over in the second half. Clemson has lost some of its swagger over the last few seasons. This spread is a little high but I like Georgia to roll in this one.
