The Mountaineers were 9-4 last season. They beat NC in their bowl game. Penn State has some rebuilding to do as they lost 11 starters to the NFL and both of their coordinators. Drew Allar returns at quarterback. He threw for 2,631 yards, with 25 touchdowns and only two interceptions. On the defensive side, they had the top team in the Big Ten, allowing 223.2 total yards per game and third in the conference with 11.4 points per game against them. Garrett Greene returns under center for the Mountaineers. Greene threw for 2,406 yards, with 16 TDs and four interceptions. On the defensive end, the allowed 384.3 total yards per game and 27.5 points per game last season. Penn State won last year's matchup 38-15 at home. Greene struggled throwing the ball last season against Penn State and will struggle in this game. Allar picked apart the Mountaineers' defense, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns. Penn State is balanced on both sides of the ball and that will carry them to a rode win on the road.
