The NFL kicks off with a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game between the Ravens and Chiefs. Kansas City came away with a 17-10 win over Baltimore. The Ravens went 1-2 in the preseason. Last season, Baltimore put up 28.4 points a game on 370.4 total yards. Jackson won the MVP last season, throwing for 3,678 yards. They also added Derrick Henry to the backfield. On the defensive side, they allowed 16.5 points per game, which was the best in the NFL. The Chiefs went winless in the preseason but will be going for a three-peat this season. As Patrick Mahomes goes so goes the Chiefs. Last season, he threw for 4.183 yards with 27 TDs and 14 interceptions. It was a down year for him but still was able to win the big game. Kansas City’s defense stepped up last season. They allowed 17.3 points per game, which was second in the NFL. Their top pass defense lost L’Jarius Sneed and will need to find someone to place him. The Ravens have pieces to replace on both sides of the ball and have a new Defensive coordinator. The Chiefs lost last season opener to the Lions and will not want to repeat that performance in this one. Mahomes is the better quarterback and will be the difference in this one.
