- UNC play better at home and are fighting to keep their hopes alive to make the March Tournament.

- UNC are better in the rebounding department and that's a large part of how UNC scores points, is inside the painted area (poor 3pt shooters) and Amando Bacot has been dominant against teams without defense contenders down low.

- Virginia are a good road team as it late, but they do have issues generating points away from home. If UNC can force the Offensive pressure and get a decent lead in the early half, Virginia will be hard pressed but unlikely to make a comeback.
