Aston Villa ended their season in the top 10 for the first time in their last 3 season since returning to the EPL and while that should give them a chence to combat this Newcastle team, I highly doubt they get much past one of if not the best goalie of last season Nick Pope for the Magpies. We all seen how much of a fortress the box can be vs Newcastle at home specifically tied overall with Manchester City in least Goals allowed (33) last season. The offense should only improve for Newcastle, who have promising young talent up front in Isak and Joelinton along with veteran leaders Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron. Aston Villas has focused more on defense this off-season, acquiring Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans. It's not enough to thwart Newcastle in a home opener, so give me the home team to win decisively in game 1 of the season.
