I'm going UNDER in this matchup and largely due to the confidence I have in the Lions improvement on defense heading into Arrowhead where Travis Kelce might not play. Even if Kelce does play on that hurt knee (Hyperextension) the chiefs are trotting out WRs that the Lions DBs should be able to handle given the Wrs youth and injury prone history. The linebackers of the Lions (and Gardner-Johnson) will be able to put pressure on Mahomes and force the ball from his hand quicker to avoid Patrick extending the play when it breaks down. The chiefs on the defensive end have alot to prove as well without Chris Jones, putting more pressure on top pick 2 years ago Karlaftis who had a good rookie campaign on the road to the superbowl. Lions could struggle to score if the chiefs defend tbe run well but Goff through the Air is still a question mark to me and in Arrowhead on Supebowl Ceremony night, give me the under on this high total that has already lowered since the opening at 54.5. Look for Patrick Mahomes to make magic with his legs, possibly score a Touchdown rushing, and chip away methodical at the Lions who will be looking to run and gun up the field. It may be close, but 28-23 Chiefs is my score prediction.
