Result: Win
I'm on Manchester United Moneyline in this matchup @ Luton Town, for these reasons:
- Champions League hopes are back on for Man Utd who have won 5 of their last six across all competitions. This could possibly save the job of Manager Ten Hag who had a rough go to start the season and the thought of being fired was truly a possibility.
- I trust Manchester United vs the lower tier teams of the league, especially defensively, as Man United are tied for 4th least goals allowed this season at 33 overall.
- Luton Town are a tough team to play at home, no doubt, but they've only won 1 time across the last 5 matches in all competitions, recently losing 3-1 at home to Sheffield United...... a terrible loss for a team trying to not be relegated at the end of the season.
- I expect Luton town to fight hard and get a goal here, but they allow 1.9 goals per game this season and they have a losing record against the top 6 teams this season. They are also 2-3 at home in the EPL
- Manchester United won this last meeting 1-0, but they are 6-3-1 in the last 10 road games and deserve our betting trust at this part of the season. Allowing only 1 goal per game in that stretch.
