I'm on the Rangers at home vs the Royals in game 1 for these reasons:

- Oakland hit KC very well in the last series, and it's hard to trust the Royals fielding unit after seeing that. The Rangers hit the ball better than Oakland and while Brady Singer is a very good option for KC to start the series, Eovaldi is an even better option.

- Eovaldi is 3-3 on the season and 2-0 at home. He's only been hit 12 times in the last 15 innings pitched, and only 7 earned runs. He should be able to stay safe in his innings. He's got 18 strikeouts in his last innings pitched, including a 3 innings stint where he had 6 strikeouts.

- Brady Singer has been very hittable. 21 hits and 11 runs in his last 15 innings pitched along with 12 strikeouts.

- Royals are struggling to bat well on the road, averaging only 0.225 at the plate Eovaldi to have over 5.5 strikeouts is a given.
