AMEDEUS' MLB GOLD STRIKE!
(MLB) Pittsburgh vs. Milwaukee,
Money Line: -124.00 Milwaukee (Home)
Result: Win
The Pirates are coming into this game playing much better recently as they have won 3 of their last 4 games, but they are coming off of a loss in their last game which snapped their 3 game win streak and they have also been awful for most of this season as there was a time when they were leading the NL Central but have now slipped 11 games under .500. They are going up against a Brewers team that has not been playing well recently as they have fallen into a bit of a slump losing 5 of their last 6 games, but they will be hungry to bounce back here at home knowing they are still only 0.5 games behind the Reds in 1st place for the division. The Brewers also have Adrian Houser starting here and he is 3-3 with a 4.43 ERA this season. He allowed 6 earned runs in his last start which was on the road against the Braves who have the strongest offense in baseball this season but he did pitch much better against them in his home start against the Braves just prior to that last start and he also allowed 3 earned runs or less in 6 straight starts prior to his last one. He has also been much better at home all year as he has allowed 2 earned runs or less in 2 of his last 3 as well as 3 of his last 5 starts there and has allowed more than 3 earned runs in just 1 of his 6 home starts all season. He also has a very good bullpen to back him up in this game as the Brewers have had some of the best pitching in the MLB all season and the Pirates have one of the worst offenses in the league as well. The Pirates also have Mitch Keller starting in this game and he is 9-7 with a 3.97 ERA this season. He was pitching so well for the 1st half of the season but he has been starting to unravel recently as he has been awful now, allowing at least 6 earned runs in 2 of his last 3 starts as well as allowing at least 4 earned runs in 3 of his last 5 starts. Even when pitching on the road, he has been very shaky all season as he has allowed at least 4 earned runs in 2 of his last 3 as well as 5 of his last 7 starts. The Brewers offense has actually been playing much better recently as well as they have scored at least 5 runs in 4 of their last 6 games and they are going to find ways to score runs on Keller here while their pitching staff will shut down this weak Pirates lineup. The Brewers will win this game at home.
