The Blue Jays are coming into this game playing very well recently as they have won their last 4 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games and they are playing with a lot of confidence now after sweeping the Red Sox on the road and using that momentum to go on a run now. They are going up against a Guardians team that has struggled this season still with a losing record and the Blue Jays are catching them at the right time here as the Guardians have been awful recently, losing their last 3 straight as well as 6 of their last 7 games. Yusei Kikuchi is starting for the Blue Jays here and he is 9-3 with a 3.67 ERA this season. He has been one of their most consistent starters all season and has not been allowing many runs in his recent starts either. He has allowed just 1 earned run or less in each of his last 4 starts as well as 6 of his last 8 starts, and he has also allowed just 2 earned runs or less in 10 of his last 12 starts as well. Even in his recent road starts, he has allowed just 1 earned run or less in each of his last 2 as well as 3 of his last 4 road starts and has allowed just 2 earned runs or less in 5 of his last 6 road starts. The Guardians also have a very weak offense and have not been hitting well at all recently so Kikuchi will have no problem shutting them down here. Tanner Bibee is starting for the Guardians here and he is 7-2 with a 3.14 ERA this season. He is just a rookie and has been pitching very well all season but recently he has allowed 2 earned runs or more in each of his last 2 starts and even though that is not that bad, he will get himself into trouble against this hot Blue Jays offense as the Jays have been rolling recently and the Guardians do not really have strong offense to bail him out if he gets into trouble. The Blue Jays will also be looking to take advantage of the slumping Guardians as they are just 4 games behind the Rays now and 7 games behind the Orioles in 1st place. The Blue Jays are going to continue rolling here and they will win this game.
