The 49ers are coming into this game after getting to the NFC Championship last season and losing but they are going to be hungry to get back there this year. They have made some big changes as they were juggling 3 QBs last season but now they have bought in on Brock Purdy as the guy. The 49ers offense was actually a lot better in their games last season near the end of the year when Purdy took over as they scored over 30 points in almost every game he started. He also has a lot more talent around him on offense with some of the best players at skilled position in the league. They have McCaffrey for their strong running game as well as Deebo Samuel and George Kittle as some big time pass catchers. They also have a very solid defense year after year and are coming into the season with one of the best defenses in the league once again. They are going up against a Steelers team that has a lot of excitement around them with Kenny Pickett as the starter now as well as that very good defense that can match the 49ers, but Pickett does not have the kind of talent that Purdy has around him and it is going to be the 49ers offense that makes the difference in this game as they have the strong run game to lean on but also have the explosive element in their offense with Purdy. The 49ers will cover the spread in this game.
