The Vikings are coming into this game off of a 20-17 loss at home against the Buccaneers in their 1st game of the season. Kirk Cousins played well as he racked up over 300 passing yards but scoring was an issue for them as they only scored 17 points at home despite moving the ball. They also had no running game in that one and now they are going on the road against a much tougher team that destroyed them in prime time last season. They are going up against an Eagles team that beat the Vikings at home in prime time 24-7 last season and they are already off to a good start this year with a 25-20 win over the Patriots in week 1 which was also on the road. The Eagles did get a little shaky near the end of that game but they still won and covered the spread and they always had a lead against the Patriots as well. They were in complete control of that road game doing enough to keep the Patriots at an arm lengths all game and they did not even use all of their talent in that game either. Their 2 star receivers had a big day but they did not really get D'Andre Swift into action in the run game with only 1 carry and Dallas Goedert was not involved either with no receptions in the game. These two players are going to have a much bigger impact in this game at home for the Eagles and they will only add a more potent element to the offense seen against the Patriots in week 1. The Eagles were also great on defense as their defense held onto that win for them and they are going to be hungry to get after Cousins and the Vikings in this home opener. The Eagles will cover the spread in this game.
