Utah State is coming into this game off of a big win over Idaho State in their last game. Idaho State is an FCS team so that game was not that big of a challenge for them, but they still scored 78 points in that game as their offense is starting to click. They struggled in their 1st game of the season as they lost on the road to Iowa but Iowa has a very good defense and they still scored 14 points in that game, only losing by 10 as a 20+ point underdog. They are going up against an Air Force team that is 2-0 to start their season but they have not played great in those 2 wins. Their 1st win of the season came at home against Robert Morris who is an FCS team but they followed it up with a weak 13-3 win on the road against Sam Houston State, a team that was in the FCS last year and is now playing their 1st season in the FBS. They had no passing game against Sam Houston State and even their run game struggled to get going in that one. Utah State is a lot better than Sam Houston State and even though they are on the road here, they are going to get up for this 1st conference game of the season. Utah State also has a great recent history against Air Force as they have won 3 of their last 4 meetings and they have a chance to come away with a win in this game as well.
