FAU is coming into this game with a 4-1 record this season and they have a very good team this year as they are returning over 90% of their minutes played as well as their scoring from the team that went to the Final Four last season. Their only loss this season was at home to Bryant but that was also their last game prior to playing in this tournament which they have been great in. They opened with a 5 point win over Butler and followed up with a dominant win over Texas A&M, leading them for most of the game. They are going up against a Virginia Tech team that is 5-1 this season but they have not been tested like FAU. Virginia Tech's only loss this season came against South Carolina and their wins in this tournament were against Boise State and Iowa State. FAU is coming off of a win against a ranked Texas A&M team in a dominant performance and they also have a bit of a home advantage here with this tournament being held in Florida.
