Vermont is coming into this game with a 7-2 record this season and they have been playing very well recently as they have won their last 2 straight as well as 3 of their last 4 games. Their 1 loss in that span came in their only road game played this season though and they are coming off of a win at home in their last game, but they also barely beat Yale by 1 point on their own court. They lost their only road game this season by 9 points to Bradley and their other loss this year came in their last game at a neutral location, losing by 10 points to Liberty, so Vermont has lost their last 2 games away from home now. They are going up against a Northeastern team that is 4-5 this season and has not been great recently, but they have also had a very tough schedule. They opened their season with a 9 point win at home against Boston U and then played 7 straight games away from home after that, 5 on the road and 2 at a neutral location. Their long string of games away from home finally came to an end in their last game as they were at home against Old Dominion and won that game by 10+ points to go 2-0 at home this year. Northeastern has been playing much better in their 2 home games and they have had a very rough start to the season due to a lot of games away from home and against some pretty good quality teams as well. They bounced back in their last game at home though and will be hungry to put together their 1st win streak of the season here against a Vermont team that has been struggling on the road.
