The Red Sox are coming into this game with a 3-2 record this season and their offense has been good in their games. Alex Wood is starting for the A's here and he is 0-1 with a 16.20 ERA this season. He struggled a lot in Spring Training as he was 0-0 with a 4.40 ERA, allowing 7 earned runs in a little over 14 innings pitched, and he continued that into his 1st start of the season as he allowed 6 earned runs in a little over 3 innings pitched against the Guardians. The Guardians do not have a very strong lineup so the A's are going to struggle here with the way the Red Sox have been hitting, but the A's are also going to be hungry to bounce back after getting shut out and Bello has not been a very consistent starter throughout his short career as well as being someone the A's have hit well against. Between these two teams, there will be enough runs in this game to push it over the total.
