AMEDEUS' MLB BOOKIE BATTER!
(MLB) Tampa Bay vs. LA Angels,
Money Line: -115.00 Tampa Bay (Away)
Result: Win
The Rays are coming into this game with a 5-6 record this season and they will be hungry to bounce back and get back to .500 after losing the series opener to the Angels last night. They are coming off of a 7-1 loss in that game, but they have still won 2 of their last 3 games and they have been averaging close to 5 runs scored per game in their last 4. They are going up against an Angels team that is 6-4 this season and they have won 2 of their last 3 games, but they have also lost 2 of their last 4 and their offense has not been great in that span. They won 7-1 in their last game but only scored 2 runs or less in 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 games. They also had 2 games in their last 4 which they allowed 12 runs and 8 runs in. Patrick Sandoval is starting for the Angels here and he is 1-1 with a 6.14 ERA this season. He was awful in Spring Training this season as he finished 0-3 with a 7.15 ERA, allowing 9 earned runs and 12 runs in a little over 11 innings pitched, and he has continued that poor form into the regular season. He was better in his last start as he allowed 2 earned runs in a little under 6 innings against the ice cold Marlins, but he also opened the season by giving up 3 earned runs and 5 runs in a little under 2 innings against the Orioles. He also allowed 8 runs in a little under 10 innings in his last 2 starts against the Rays last season. Aaron Civale is starting for the Rays in this game and he is 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA this season. He has been great in his first 2 starts as he has allowed 1 earned run in each of his 2 starts, pitching at least 6 innings in each game. Civale was credited with the loss in their last game but he only gave up 1 run in that start and the Rays are not going to let that 7-1 loss go easily. The Rays will bounce back in this game with the better pitching matchup as both offense have been a bit inconsistent recently. The Rays will win this game.
