Prior to these 2 starts, he allowed just 1 earned run or less in 3 straight as well as just 2 earned runs or less in his other 4 starts this season. Those last 2 starts also came on the road as he has been much better at home this season, allowing just 1 earned run in each of his 2 starts at home this year, pitching at least 6 innings in both of those as well. The Guardians also have a very good bullpen to back him which has been pitching very well recently. Tylor Megill is starting for the Mets in this game and he is 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA this season. He has only made 1 start this season and only allowed 1 earned run in that game, but he was still charged with the loss in a 4-1 loss for his team in that game. He only pitched 4 innings in that game as well and he finished the season last year with a 4.70 ERA. Megill is going to give up more runs in this start and even if he does not, the Mets have not had a great bullpen this season. Their offense has not been as consistent either and they are going to struggle to score runs with this matchup. The Guardians are going to win this game at home.
