AMEDEUS' MLB GOLD STRIKE!
(MLB) Milwaukee vs. Miami,
Money Line: -138.00 Milwaukee (Away)
Result: Win
The Brewers are coming into this game with a 27-20 record this season and they have not been great in their recent games. They have lost 3 of their last 4 games, but 2 of those 3 losses were also very close losses by 1 run. They are also coming off of a 3-2 loss in extra innings after their bullpen blew a 2-1 lead late so they are going to be hungry to bounce back here. They are going up against a Marlins team that is 16-33 this season and has been playing much better in their recent games. They have won 5 of their last 6 games now, but their pitching has not been good in these as they have allowed at least 7 runs in 2 of their last 3 games, and that is going to be a problem here as they do not have the better pitching matchup. Trevor Rogers is starting for the Marlins in this game and he is 1-6 with a 5.79 ERA this season. He is coming off of a start which he allowed no runs, but that is the only occasion this season he has allowed no runs in despite making 9 starts this year. He has not been very good either as he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in 4 of his last 5 starts, allowing at least 5 runs in 2 of his last 3 as well. Robert Gasser is starting for the Brewers in this game and he is 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA this season. He is in his rookie season and has only made 2 starts this year, but he has been great in both as he has pitched at least 5 innings in each start and has only allowed 1 earned run total between the two starts. The Brewers offense has also been very good in the 2 games he has started in as they won both games by scores of 11-2 and 10-2. The Brewers are going to be hungry to bounce back here after the way they lost last night and their offense has been getting up for their rookie on the mound this season. Rogers is going to give up runs against this offense and the Marlins will struggle to score with Gasser pitching well and a good bullpen to back him up as well. The Brewers will win this game.
