The Cowboys are coming into this game off of a great season which they won the NFC East with a 12-5 record, but they fizzled out in the 1st round of the playoffs. They lost to the Packers in the 1st round and it was not close, the Packers winning 48-32. As good as the Cowboys were in the regular season, most of their success came at home as they actually had a losing 4-5 record on the road. This is also going to be a very different Dallas team as their defense was their true strength last season and although they still have a lot of their key pieces on defense, Dan Quinn is now gone as the DC and that is a huge loss since he really turned things around there. The offense has also devolved a bit as they are returning a lot of their weapons in the receiving game, giving CeeDee Lamb his payday as well, but the loss of Tony Pollard leaves this run game worse off than it was last season. They also have 2 rookies starting in the offensive line so that could turn into an issue with it being their 1st NFL game. They are going up against a Browns team that was very good last season, going to the playoffs despite all of their quarterback injuries as they just found ways to win games. They have a lot of weapons in the receiving game with Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore, but now they have also brought in Jerry Jeudy and he will be looking to show what he has after his stint in Denver. The Browns also have a very good defense once again this season and they are going to cause problems for this Cowboys offensive line all game. The Browns won their season opener at home last season and they will do the same here. The Browns will cover the spread in this game.
