Arizona is coming into this game with a 2-0 record this season and they have played in 2 very different games. Their 1st game of the season was a 61-39 win over New Mexico, a game their offense played very well in right from the start but their defense was awful. Then they followed up with a 22-10 win over Northern Arizona from the FCS in a game where their defense kept them in it as their offense struggled heavily. They are playing their 1st road game of the season here and it is against another ranked team, but it is a game that they are going to be able to move the ball in. They are going up against a Kansas State team that is also 2-0 this season and their offense has been very good. They won their 1st game of the season 41-6 against an FCS team in Tennessee-Martin, and they followed up with a road win in their last game, beating Tulane 34-27 in a game that saw 61 total points and could have even went to OT. Kansas State was not able to stop the run in that game as Hughes rushed for 128 yards, and that really opened up the passing game for them as they also had 342 yards in the air. Arizona has a very balanced offense with a run game that is averaging 196.5 rushing yards per game so they are going to be able to run against this Kansas State defense and that will also open up the passing game which Kansas State has struggled to defend, and Arizona has a very good QB in Fifita who had 422 passing yards in their 1st game against New Mexico. Arizona was much better on defense in their last game, but that was also against a much weaker FCS team and a team that was always going to get up for that game and play them tough. Kansas State has a much better offense though and they are going to move the ball easily against this defense. Kansas State will score points with ease, similar to New Mexico moving the ball easily against Arizona, but Arizona also has the offense to keep them in this game. Between these two teams, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
