The Seahawks are coming into this game off of a 26-20 win against the Broncos in their 1st game of the season. The Seahawks started slow last week, going down 10-9 at home by halftime, but they came out strong in the 2nd half with good defense as they shut out the Broncos in the 3rd quarter and started to control the game more. The Broncos made it close in the end, but the Seahawks took control of that game in the 2nd half as they impressed under their new head coach Mike Macdonald. The offense played very well in that game as they had a very strong run game and were good in the passing game as well. Geno Smith did not need to do much in the air, but he was pretty accurate with his passes and is playing with another chip on his shoulder this year after last season. Kenneth Walker will likely be out for this game, but they still have a very good young running back in Charbonnet who will be looking to prove something in this game now that he is getting his shot at starting. They are going up against a Patriots team that is coming off of a 16-10 win on the road against the Bengals in their 1st game of the season, but they are going to come back down to Earth in this game. Brissett got the job done for the Patriots on the road, but he only threw for 121 yards as they were finding success on the ground. The offense was not great though as they only scored 16 points and were fortunate to go against a very banged up Bengals team that was missing key pieces and has started the last few seasons slow as well. This game is at home for the Patriots, but it is going to be much harder as the Seahawks did not give up much on the ground last week and will force Brissett to do more here. This is also a much stronger offense in it's current state as the Seahawks have a lot more healthy weapons on the offense for the Patriots to defend, and a much stronger run game as well. The Seahawks are playing with something to prove this season under their new head coach and this is a game where their offensive talent will outshine the Patriots defense. The Seahawks will cover the spread in this game.
