AMEDEUS' NFL PRIME TIME SUNDAY SMASHER!
(NFL) Bengals (CIN) vs. Giants (NYG),
Total: 46.50 | -118.00 Over
Result: Loss
The Giants are coming into this game with a 2-3 record this season, but they played much better in their last 3 games. They have won 2 of their last 3 games and their offense has been much better in those as they have scored 21+ points in 2 of those 3 games. They are going up against a Bengals team that is 1-4 this season and has been playing in a lot of high scoring games. They have seen 50+ total points in each of their last 4 games and they are coming off of a 41-38 loss in their last game. Their offense has been on fire all season as they have scored 33+ points in their last 3 straight games and they have the 4th best scoring offense in the league this season, averaging 28 points scored per game. Their defense has been awful though, allowing 24+ points in their last 4 straight games and 38+ points in 2 of their last 3. They are averaging 29 points allowed per game this season which is ranked 31st out of 32 teams in the league. Their defense let a 10 point lead slip away against the Ravens last week, but the offense has been no issue and at this point, they are going to be coming into this game with the mentality that they need to score a lot of points. The run defense has been good in their last 3 games, but the pass defense was giving up yards in their last 2 games and this is not a Bengals offense that is going to be focused on running the ball here. The Bengals are going to score points in this game as they will be quite desperate for the win, and that is going to disrupt the game plan for the Giants as they will not be able to run the ball as much, playing from behind in this game. Daniel Jones has been better in the passing game in their last 2 games though and he will have success against this Bengals defense that has been allowing a lot of yards and points, being one of the worst in the league. Between these two sides, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
