Miami is coming into this game with a 6-0 record this season and they are 2-0 in the conference. They were blowing through opponents to start the season, but recently they have struggled in their last 2 games. They only beat Virginia Tech at home 38-34 and then they followed that up with a 39-38 road win over California in a game they needed a big comeback to win. They are coming off of their bye, but this is not going to be an easy game on the road against a team that was in the ACC Championship just a season ago. They are going up against a Louisville team that is 4-2 this season and they are also 2-1 in the conference so they cannot afford another ACC loss if they want to get back to the Championship game. They lost at home to SMU 34-27, but they bounced back with a road win over Virginia in their last game. Louisville has a very good run game that is averaging 170.5 rushing yards per game and 5.4 yards per carry. Miami has a good run defense that is only allowing 89.7 rushing yards per game, but they got eaten on the ground in their game against Virginia Tech and Louisville is going to be able to move the ball efficiently on the ground with Isaac Brown. That will open up the passing game for this Louisville offense that has a good quarterback in Shough to get the job done. Shough has a 63.4% completion percentage this season while averaging 9.1 yards per attempt. He also had 14 TD passes and only 3 INTs. Miami has not been allowing a lot of yards this season, but their last 2 games which were both against conference opponents have seen them allow 34+ points in each so Louisville is going to get their chances to score here and will keep this game close at home.
