Point Spread: -5.00 | -112.00 Hoosiers (IU) (Home)
Result: Win
Indiana is coming into this game with a 7-0 record this season and they are 4-0 in the conference. They have won all 7 of their games this season by 14+ points and they have one of the better offenses in the country, scoring 40+ points in 6 straight games. They are coming off of a 56-7 win at home against Nebraska in their last game and their defense has been very good all season as well. They are going up against a Washington team that is 4-3 this season, but they are only 2-2 in the conference. This is their 1st season in the Big 10 and so far the travel has made a difference for them as both of their wins have come at home, beating Northwestern and Michigan. They lost both of their games on the road which they had to travel across the country for, losing 21-18 to Rutgers and 40-16 to Iowa in their last game. They are coming off of their bye so they will be prepared for this game, but it will not be easy going across country once again. Indiana has had a very good defense this season as well, averaging 81.9 rushing yards per game and 180.7 passing yards per game. Washington has had a good passing game with their quarterback Will Rogers, but their run game has not been as strong and scoring points has been a big problem for this offense as well. They only average 24.1 points scored per game this season which is bottom 50 in the country and they have not scored more than 18 points in either of their 2 road games this season. Indiana is missing their quarterback here, but Tayven Jackson was very good when he came into their last game and he is 12/18 on the season for 225 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, and he is averaging 12.5 yards per attempt in that small sample size. He will be able to run this offense well, and Indiana likes to run the ball a lot more anyway, averaging 202.4 rushing yards per game and 5.3 yards per carry. This is going to be another game that the Washington offense struggles in while Indiana will be able to move the ball well on this defense at home. Indiana will cover the spread in this game.
