The Leafs are coming into this game with a 4-4-0 record this season and after a very hot start to the year, they have not been playing well in recent games. They have lost their last 2 straight as well as 3 of their last 4 games and they have not been scoring goals in these. They have only scored 3 goals total in their last 2 games and they have scored 2 goals or less in 3 of their last 4 games as well. Their defense has also been a problem though as they have allowed 4+ goals in 3 of their last 4 games and have allowed 11 goals total in their 2 games alone. They have not played well on the road this season either as they have only played in 3 road games and lost 2 of those. They beat the Devils 4-2 on the road which was their only road win, but they lost 1-0 to the Habs and 6-2 to the Blue Jackets as scoring has been a bit of an issue in these road games. They are going up against a Bruins team that is 3-4-1 this season and they are going to be hungry to bounce back here at home. They have not been playing well recently either, losing their last 3 straight games, but they also returned from a road trip in their last game so this will be their 2nd game back at home. They will be hungry to bounce back from their 5-2 loss to the Stars. Their offense has not been scoring goals recently either, but they have played much better at home this season. They have won 2 of their 4 games at home this season, losing their last 2 straight games there, but 1 of those losses was against a Panthers team who the Bruins have struggled a lot against over the last 2 seasons, and the other was a loss to the Stars who have been one of the better teams in the West. The Bruins kicked the Leafs out of the playoffs last season with a 4-3 series win, but they also won all 4 regular season meetings against them, including the 2 at home. This is the perfect spot for a struggling Bruins team to bounce back at home against a Leafs team they will get up for as they love to beat up on them. The Bruins will win this gane.
