The Cowboys are coming into this game with a 3-3 record this season and they are currently sitting in 3rd place in the NFC East, but they are far from out of this division race with only 1 division game under their belt. They are coming off of their worst loss of the season in their last game, losing 47-9 at home against the Lions, but they are going to be hungry to bounce back in this game. They are also coming off of their bye so they will be well rested and ready to go for this game as they can still turn things around coming out of the bye. They have still won 2 of their last 3 games as well and they are actually 3-0 on the road this season. They are going to be desperate for a win though and there is no better time for them to be playing this game. They are going up against a 49ers team that is 3-4 this season and currently sitting at the bottom of their own division. They lost in the Super Bowl last season and that has really taken a toll on them as the losing Super Bowl team has a history of struggling the next season. It does not help that they are dealing with many injuries to key pieces, already missing CMC all season and now missing a majority of their wideouts as well. The defense has not been playing well recently either, allowing 24+ points in 3 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games, and their defense has been a staple to who they are as a team, having one of the best defenses in the league last season. They are also coming off of a 28-18 loss at home to the Chiefs in their last game which was the Super Bowl rematch as well so that was a very emotional game that they wanted to win. Brock Purdy has not been playing well recently either, throwing 3 INTs in their last game and at least 2 INTs in 2 of their last 3 games as well. The 49ers have won the last 3 straight meetings against the Cowboys, 2 of those being in the playoffs, but this is the best time for the Cowboys to face a stumbling 49ers team and they can take advantage coming out of their bye here.
