The Saints are coming into this game with a 2-6 record this season, but they are going to be hungry to bounce back from their 6 game losing streak with Derek Carr back in the lineup. Carr is back from his injury and that is going to help improve this offense that has been much better with him starting this season. They are going up against a Panthers team that is 1-7 this season and has the worst record in the league, just like they did last season. They have lost their last 5 straight games and their defense has been awful as they have one of the worst defenses in the league. They have allowed 28+ points in each of their last 5 games and have allowed 34+ points in 4 of those. Their offense has not been great, but they have been much better in recent games as they have scored 14+ points in 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games, scoring 20+ points in 3 of those. Bryce Young has been improving after sitting behind Dalton for some of the season and this Saints defense is very banged up, not playing well in recent games either. They have allowed 26+ points in each of their last 5 games, allowing 33+ points in 2 of their last 3 as well, and 2 of those were against weaker offenses in the Chargers and the Broncos. The Panthers already lost to the Saints earlier this season 47-10, but they have improved since then and will be able to score some more points on this defense at home. The Saints are also going to be hungry for a win with Carr back though and they will be able to carve up this awful Panthers defense. Between these two sides, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
