South Carolina is coming into this game with a 5-3 record this season and they are 3-3 in the conference. They have been playing very well in their recent games as they have won their last 2 straight games and even their last loss was very close, losing by 2 points on the road against Alabama. They are coming off of a 44-20 win against Texas A&M in their last game, but now they are going to be on the road and this is a South Carolina team that has showed up when they want to but not when they need to this season. They are going up against a Vanderbilt team that is 6-3 this season and they are 3-2 in the conference. They have also been playing very well in their recent games as they have won 4 of their last 5 games with their only loss in that span coming by 3 points against Texas. They are coming off of a 17-7 win on the road against Auburn in another game where they were a 7 point underdog, and this team just continues to defy the odds each week with players like Diego Pavia trying to put Vanderbilt on the map in his 1st season there. They have a quality win at home against Alabama earlier this season and even their other conference loss was by 3 points on the road against Missouri in OT. Diego Pavia and crew play every game with heart and they are not going to allow South Carolina to dominate them on their own field when they feel they can win this game at home. South Carolina has a very good defense, but Pavia will find ways to move the ball here on offense like he has against other good defenses they have faced this season. South Carolina also likes to run the ball more as they have a better run game and Vanderbilt is only allowing 111.8 rushing yards per game as well as 3.7 yards per carry. This is a game that Vanderbilt can once again pull off the upset in and even if they lose here at home, they are going to fight right to the end to keep it close and will not allow South Carolina to run away with it.
