AMEDEUS' CFB BLOWOUT BLITZ!
(NCAAF) Terrapins (MAR) vs. Ducks (ORE),
Point Spread: -23.50 | -122.00 Ducks (ORE) (Home)
Result: Loss
Maryland is coming into this game with a 4-4 record this season and they are 1-4 in the conference. They have not been playing well in their recent games as they have lost 3 of their last 4 games, their only win in that span coming at home against USC, and they are coming off of a 48-23 loss on the road against Minnesota in their last game. All 3 of their losses in their last 4 games have been by 14+ points while their only win was against a West coast team that had to travel East to Maryland for that game. Now Maryland is going to have their 1st experience of the season making that trip out West though, and they have lost both of their road games in the conference by 14+ points. They are going up against an Oregon team that is 9-0 this season and they are 6-0 in the conference. Oregon is currently ranked number 1 in the country and they have been on fire recently with their last 3 straight wins coming by 21+ points, 2 of those coming by 29+ points. They are coming off of a 38-17 win on the road against Michigan in their last game, and their defense has allowed 17 points or less in their last 3 straight as well as 6 of their last 7 games. Oregon has a great run and they might find some trouble against this better Maryland run defense, but it is not going to matter much when Maryland has had an awful pass defense and Oregon has plenty of weapons on offense as well as a quarterback that is completing 74.8% of his passes this season. Dillon Gabriel is going to pick apart this Maryland pass defense and that will allow Oregon to have more success on the ground later in the game. Oregon also has a great defense that has not been allowing many points, but their pass defense has been extremely good so Maryland is going to struggle more to move the ball as they are a pass heavy team without a strong run game. Oregon will be able to shut down this Maryland offense that also has to deal with this West coast travel for the 1st time this season, and Oregon will run away with this game at home. Oregon will cover the spread in this game.
