Fairleigh Dickinson is coming into this game with a 2-3 record this season and they are going to be hungry to have a better season this year. They were not great last season as they had a down year after making the NCAA Tournament 2 years ago and upsetting Purdue in the 1st round, but they will be hungry to improve with a better season this year. They are 2-3 to start this year and have not played in many close games, but they have also had a very strong schedule. Their 3 losses came against Miami Florida, Creighton, and Nebraska, 2 of those 3 teams being ranked at the time and all 3 being from much stronger conferences. Their 1st win of the season came against a team that does not play in Division I, but they are actually coming off of their 2nd win of the season in their last game, beating Manhattan at home by 3 points. They have played much better against the weaker opponents they have faced and that strong schedule to start the season playing in those tough environments will help them in the long run and in their road games against weaker teams like these. They are going up against an Army team that is 2-2 this season but they have not been playing well to start the season either. Their 2 wins came against Albany and a team that does not play in Division I, both wins coming at home. They have a blowout loss on the road against Duke this season, but they are also coming off of a road loss to Marist by 3 points in their last game. FDU will be a lot more competitive in this game against a weaker team and this is not a game they are going to get blown out in. FDU will cover the spread in this game.
