(NCAAF) Clemson vs. Kentucky,
Point Spread: -4.00 | 102.00 Clemson (Away)
Result: Loss
Kentucky is not as deep as this Clemson team is, despite having most of their team intact including QB Devon Leary. Kentucky teams have a history of being one dimensional and going up against a top program like Clemson that the NFL recruits heavily from means that the Tigers will win and cover this game. As bad as their season was to Dabo and the team, they still have a reputation to uphold and some pride, and Dabo does care about this game as the team does as well. When one plays on Clemson, there is a certain expectation of achievement and even with the opt outs, which is only 3-4 defenders opting out, the back ups that are still there are very talented themselves. There has been an overreaction on the Clemson side with the bookmakers on the opt outs, so this is where the value lies in this game. Getting Clemson at this low price is a bargain. Their defense is still intact and better than Kentucky's and they still have most of their key players including QB Klubnik. Dabo has some damage control to contain with the boosters and critics, so expect Clemson to be dialed into this game as they have had time to practice for this game, they will control the game and the clock.
