This series, at least at home in Carolina, is going to trend to the Under like the first game. Carolina is just too strong at home in goaltending and in defense. It’s going to be tough for NYI to score. Sorokin let in three goals and is in goal again tonight, so the Islanders will tighten up on defense as they know they need to stop the bleeding against the Hurricanes if they want to steal a game. Carolina won't take their foot off of their defensive game as they will stay focused in this second game. Last season, they let the Islanders take them to overtime in the second game so they won't want that kind of performance in this game. It will be just more of game 1 because that worked for them. This game should stay Under the Total again.

Best bet: take the Under the Total.
