MACK'S NBA FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF HOOPS!
(NBA) Phoenix vs. Minnesota,
Point Spread: 3.50 | -115.00 Phoenix (Away)
Result: Loss
This is a matchup where the Suns have dominated the Timberwolves this season for most of their games. The Suns just lost to the Twolves in game 1 as everyone was healthy and back for Minnesota, including Karl Anthony Towns. He and Edwards had a great game, as did Durant, however, the Suns in general were not dropping their threes and were getting out rebounded at a high rate. One of their key players, Grayson Allen is questionable for this game, while Kyle Anderson is questionable for Minnesota. Grayson is the Suns best 3 point shooter and he should be back in the lineup with a better game. The Suns were not aggressive enough in this game, they didn’t go after rebounds, did not fight for second chances, and with their threes not falling, explains the wide margin in the result for this game. Booker and Beal did not have good games either and will have to step up their performances in game 2. The Suns are 2-0 against the spread this season off a road blowout loss of 20 points or more and they are 2-0 against the spread this season after scoring 95 points or less. This team will respond in game 2 because Phoenix is a team built for the playoffs and this is the spot where they shine, so expect them to respond in this second game. The Suns are 6-1 against the spread this season after playing 4 consecutive road games. Minnesota is 3-7 against the spread this season as a home favorite of 6 points or less. Minnesota is 1-4 against the spread this season after a game out rebounding an opponent by 15 or more. Minnesota are 3-6 against the spread in their last nine games when leading in a playoff series. This is a good bounce back spot for the Suns as we see some regression with Minnesota.

Best bet: take Phoenix and the points.
