The Cubs and the Pirates had a run fest yesterday and some of that should carry over into today’s game. This total can easily see the over as both teams head to head are 8-2 in their last ten games to the Over. Henricks has pitched his last five starts to the Over and especially on the road, pitched his last three games over the total. He should give up some runs today to Pittsburgh. On the flip side, when Falter is on the mound for Pittsburgh, he has pitched three of his last four starts to the Over when the total is 8 to 8.5. He hasn’t been sharp in his last four starts, giving up the long ball and too many earned runs. The Cubs should get some runs from Falter and send this game over the total.

Best bet: take the Over the Total.
