Kirby has struggled on the road this season lately and their offense and bullpen have taken a hit in the last few weeks. He did pitch to the Royals last month and won his start, however, on the road in the last month, he has lost to strong teams like Houston, Baltimore, Washington and Minnesota on the road. He did get a win in his last start against Oakland, but most teams have done well against the A’s. Kirby is vulnerable to giving up some hits to this powerful Royals lineup. Ragans is on the mound and he has been solid for Kansas City this season and had a great start in his last game. Seattle strikeouts a lot against left handed pitchers so they are going to be in a tough position offensively. It’s tough to sweep a team but Kansas City has been better at home in this series versus Seattle’s performance on the road in the last few weeks.
