Megill pitched well against the Jays last season winning his start and he is the better pitcher in this game as the Mets open the season at home. Expect the starting lineup to play well including Soto and the Mets have owned Gausman over the seasons. Megill is starting with an ERA of 1.80 and he is 5-2 against AL East opponents. Though Gausman played well in his only start in Toronto, he usually doesn’t do well against the Mets on the road and he is 16-39 straight up as a road underdog of +100 to +150 over the seasons.
