These are two of the bottom three teams in scoring. Phoenix's scoring should rise with the impending return of star guard Diana Taurasi. But she won't play in this game. The Mercury are really hurting in the backcourt with Yvonne Turner, their other starting guard, leaving for the EuroBasketball tournament.

The Mercury are getting the bulk of their scoring from frontcourt players, DeWanna Bonner and Britney Griner. It takes time off the shot clock to set up these inside players.

Dallas is aware that Phoenix's scoring load is geared for in the paint. So the Wings should be emphasis stopping Bonner and Griner, taking their chances with Phoenix's questionable outside shooting. The Wings should play with a great deal of defensive intensity, too, as the Mercury eliminated them from the playoffs last year.

The Wings, by contrast, could have problems scoring side because they lose Glory Johnson to the Eurobasketball tournament and Isabelle Harrison is out with a concussion. Those are two of their five leading scorers.

Dallas has gone Under in seven of its last nine games. The Under also has cashed in the Wings' past six games.
