Washington is the fifth-highest scoring team in the NHL with the No. 1 power play in the league. The Capitals have scored three or more goals in nine of their past 10 games.
The Capitals, however, rank 28th on defense permitting 3.6 goals a game. They've given up 16 goals in their past three games.  
Each team should have plenty of energy. The Capitals have been idle for the past week due to COVID-19. They are finally up to full strength.
The Penguins last played on Thursday. This marks just their third game in nine days.
