South Dakota State is the second-highest scoring team in the Summit League averaging 79.4 points per game. Oral Roberts is No. 1 in the Summit putting up 79.9 points a game. So you can get in trouble trying to make an Under work when these two teams meet. That was the case on Saturday. The total was lined at 159. Oral Roberts beat South Dakota State, 103-86, so the combined final was 189 points. An easy Over winner.

Today's total was adjusted up five points to 164, which is the number I've taken. That's a huge number change based only on one game. It's the highest total of the season for either team. Neither South Dakota State, nor Oral Roberts, had a total about 159 1/2 this season.
South Dakota State shot 50 percent from the floor in Saturday's game. That was nothing, though, compared to Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles shot 54 percent from the field, sank 16 of 30 3-point shots and connected on 17 of their 18 free throws.
Sophomore guard Max Abmas had the game of his life for Oral Roberts scoring a career-high 42 points. That's the second-highest scoring game in the NCAA this season. Look Abmas is a nice player. He entered the game leading the Summit League in scoring at 21.7 points. But he doubled his average while hitting 14 of 20 shots from the field, making five of eight 3-point shots and sinking nine of 10 free throws.
The Jackrabbits were 4-point road favorites. This was just the second time in their last 15 meetings they lost to Oral Roberts. They aren't going to let Abmas embarrass them again in this quick revenge spot. Oh, yes, Abmas also logged 38 minutes Saturday. The Golden Eagles also received 16 points from Sheldon Stevens, normally a reserve who was filling in for RJ Glasper. Stevens came into the game averaging 3.3 points. He made five of nine shots from the floor.

The total is set too high. I'm betting a repeat of yesterday doesn't occur.
