The Yankees draw the publicity, but the Blue Jays may just be the superior team. You probably couldn't go wrong backing the Blue Jays every time they are an underdog. They've won seven of the last eight times as an away 'dog, including going 2-1 this season in that role.

I don't believe Toronto should be an underdog here in a pitching matchup of Kevin Gausman versus Luis Severino.

Gausman held his own against the Yankees during his years in captivity with the Orioles going 7-6 with a 3.77 ERA in 24 appearances, including 18 starts. Gausman was 14-6 with a 2.81 ERA pitching for the Giants last year.

Severino is on the comeback trail making only his second start since 2018. He had been sidelined by Tommy John surgery. Severino was an excellent pitcher before his surgery. It remains to be seen how he'll be post-surgery. He faces a Toronto team that leads the majors in homers.

The Blue Jays are 10-3 in their last 13 visits to Yankee Stadium.
