The Tigers should be an improved team. After just concluding a three-game road series against the Dodgers this past Sunday, the Tigers get the lowly Pirates at home. 

Pittsburgh has lost 49 of its last 67 road contests. 

The Pirates are going to be brutal again. They rank 23rd in runs, have committed 17 errors in 22 games and rank in the bottom-five in nearly all of the major pitching categories.

The pitching matchup is Bryse Wilson versus Michael Pineda. Wilson is unproven as a starter. He has a 4.70 ERA on the season. Pineda will be making his third start of the season. He was sub-par in his last outing against the Twins. But he was impressive against the Yankees in his first start shutting them out for five innings giving up only three hits.

Pittsburgh is 1-5 in its last six games. The Pirates are fade material especially on the road. I'm not used to laying this high of a price on the Tigers - except when the opponent is as weak as the Pirates are.
