Miami leads the ACC in scoring at 79.7 points per game. The 22-5 Hurricanes are ranked 13th in the country. Virginia Tech is 16-11, 6-10 in the ACC.

Yet the Hokies opened the favorite. Surprised? Don't be. Trust the oddsmaker. Unranked favorites have covered 69 percent of the time against ranked teams this season going 29-13 ATS.

Virginia Tech certainly is capable. The Hokies own home victories against Virginia and Pittsburgh, who rank with Miami as the top teams in the ACC. The Hokies led the Hurricanes by five points with 8:20 remaining before losing, 92-83, on the road to Miami Jan. 31.

Miami is 15-0 at home. However, the Hurricanes are just 7-5 on the road.
