(NCAAB) Fairfield vs. Canisius,
Point Spread: 2.50 | -108.00 Fairfield (Away)
Result: Loss
I'm taking the points with the much superior defensive team, Fairfield, in this Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup.

The Stags are holding foes to 64.9 points a game. That ranks 58th in the country and is the best mark in the MAAC. The Stags have the fourth-best 3-point defensive percentage in the nation, too.

Canisius is the worst defensive team in the MAAC. The Golden Griffins rank 346th in the country in defensive field goal percentage and 342nd in 3-point defense.

Fairfield is a low-scoring team, but can take advantage of such a weak defensive opponent. The Staggs proved that in the first meeting when they won, 67-58. It was the fifth win in a row for Fairfield against Canisius.

The Stags are 8-10 in the MAAC with a 12-16 overall record. The Golden Griffins are 9-19 overall with a 6-12 MAAC record.

Fairfield is the better team not only record-wise, but also according to the highly-respected KenPom ratings.

This is enough evidence for me to back the underdog.
