Taking the PADRES here. Going for round 3 here with SD. So we split the first 2 games here fading LAD. Cashner looked sharp in spring. I expect it to carry over, especially now that he can not be the lone bright spot on this team. He has Shields as the horse at the front, and even Ross, who is an equal to take some stress off. But the key is the lineup. What great moves. He doesn't have to worry about giving up a run or 2 and be like, uh, ok, I am losing 2-0. He has guys who can put runs up. Plus an anchor in the bullpen behind him. LAD will win their games, but early on, I see them stumbling a bit. McCarthy had a nice run with the Yanks. But his spring has been anything but smooth.
