10* AL EAST GAME OF THE YEAR - THE BIG ONE!
(MLB) Blue Jays (TOR) vs. Red Sox (BOS),
Point Spread: 1.50 | -145.00 Blue Jays (TOR) (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* AL EAST GOY on the Jays runline in Game 2 of the "double-header."

(NOTE: these teams will finish a suspended game from June 26th earlier in the day.)

Toronto is definitely looking to play spoiler, and it's definitely playing arguably its best baseball of the season right now after sweeping the Angels at home in four straight over the weekend.

Boston is stumbling at the incorrect time, losing all three at home to Arizona over the weekend.

The Red Sox have now fallen 4.5 games back of the final Al Wildcard. The Jays are 9.5 games back and are almost assuredly out of contention, but these players are finally hitting their stride and I think they offer great value at this price with the extra 1.5 runs of insurance.

Jose Berrios is 12-9 with a 3.79 ERA for the Jays, while Nick Pivetta is 5-8 with a 4.70 ERA for Boston.

Berrios is 3-6 with a 3.98 ERA in 14 career starts vs. Boston, while Pivetta is a much worse 3-4 with a 5.55 ERA in 16 career appearances against Toronto.

Boston hit .211 over the weekend, while the Jays offense has been consistent from game-to-game of late.

I think the value here is to lay the price for the 1.5 runs on the JAYS in the evening contest.

LATE UPDATE: Whoever Boston decides to put in for this contest, this play is based primarily around Berrios. The confusion about their starting pitcher in the opener of this series will see the Red Sox drop another one here at home tonight.

Good luck, NP
