Do I handicap Week 1 a little differently than I do the rest of the season?!

For sure I do.

I am naturally contrarian, but in Week 1 I primarily like going against the general betting public, and then making the necessary adjustments from Week 1 to Week 2.

With nearly 70% of the early public money on the home side, and likely to move higher in my opinion, this one definitely appeals to my contrarian side.

These teams are very evenly matched. They played in the playoffs last year and the Lions held on for the 24-23 victory.
