This is a 10* BOOKIEKILLER on the Brewers.

The top two teams in each Conference will receive a bye in the opening round of the playoffs. The Brewers, Phillies, and Dodgers are all neck-and-neck heading into the final stretch.

Either way, these teams are going to win their divisions. In fact, the Brewers' "magic number" remains at three to clinch the division.

The bottom line here, I think we're getting great value on the home side as a dog here considering the recent form of these starters.

And that's primarily what I'm basing this pick on, the form of the starting pitchers, which is really crucial at this time of year and in these types of pressure-packed situations.

The Phillies go with Ranger Suarez, (12-6, 3.05 ERA), who has been regressing steeply over the last month, going 2-4 with a ballooned 5.30 ERA over his last seven starts, conceding 43 hits over his last 35 innings of work.

The home side counters with Aaron Civale (6-8, 4.57), who is 4-2 with a 3.84 ERA for the Brewers and who is 4-0 with a 2.67 ERA over his last six starts overall.

Great line value here, the play is MILWAUKEE.
