This is a 10* AL GOW on the Blue Jays.

It's difficult to say anything too negative about either of these starting pitchers, but at this price, I absolutely feel that Toronto is the correct call in the opener of this series and also the official second half of the season.

Both teams have struggled this year. Detroit is 47-50 overall, including 23-26 on the road, while Toronto is 44-52 overall and 21-24 at home.

Jack Flaherty (6-5, 3.13 ERA) has been super solid for Detroit in his first year.

So to has Chriss Bassitt (8-7, 3.52) for the Jays, as the veteran will definitely be leaned upon here in the second half to eat up some innings.

Both sides have struggled with consistency from game-to-game this year and unless some sort of miracle happens immediately, each will be traders at the deadline this season.

That said, this opener favors Toronto in my opinion and the price here is just too good to turn down.

Lay the short price, the play is indeed on the BLUE JAYS.
