AAA's EARLY SITUATIONAL "ASSASSIN!" (SIX STRAIGHT WINNING NCAAF SAT'S!)
(NCAAF) Mississippi vs. Arkansas,
Point Spread: -3.50 | 100.00 Mississippi (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* SITUATIONAL ASSASSIN on Mississippi.

For a number of different reasons, I think Mississippi will pull away down the stretch in this one for the comfortable ATS cover. No. 8 Ole Miss comes in refreshed and focused after a timely bye week, losses by Auburn, Mississippi State and Arizona State helped the Rebels jump two spots in the poll in Tuesday's NCAAF Playoff rankings. Mississippi would erase two straight losses with a convincing 48-0 victory over Presbyterian on November 8th. The Rebels still have a shot at the inaugural four-team playoff field as a two-loss team, but need to win their final two games, something that should be a lot more reasonable in accomplishing with a healthier lineup: note that LT Laremy Tunsil and safety Cody Prewitt are expected to return to this one. "Everything that we needed to happen, happened," QB Bo Wallace commented earlier in the week. "So we're excited about that, but it doesn't matter unless we take care of us." I think this sets up as a classic letdown spot for Arkansas as well after its big 17-0 win over then-No. 20 LSU last week, the victory snapping a whopping 17-game SEC losing streak. The strength of Arkansas is its power running game and large offensive line, but now the team runs into the countries leading defense, the Rebels give up an average of just 11.9 PPG. Arkansas had its hands full with Wallace last year, he'd go 27 of 34 for a career-best 416 yards and three major scores. Note, already 1-0 ATS this year when playing with two weeks of rest, Ole Miss is 4-2 ATS in the same position over the last two. And note that Arkansas is just 1-2 ATS in its last three off a win over a conference rival. I think the extra week off to prepare will turn out to be the difference today and expect Wallace and company to do just enough to secure the ATS win once the final whistle sounds; play on MISSISSIPPI.
